Here's a PTA Overview video to also give you further information

How do I join the PTA?

Membership is a very simple process of filling out the form and paying $10.

Is it too late to join the PTA?

It is never too late to join PTA. Sign up your friends, children and neighbors. Sign up everyone! The more members we have, the more powerful our voice.

When are the meetings?

The meeting are held once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM.

Where are the meetings?

They are held at Longfellow Elementary School in the Auditorium.

How long are the meetings?

The length of the meetings can vary based on the agenda, but are typically one hour.

What cost do the membership dues cover?

The membership dues cover our costs to Council, District, State and National PTA. Any leftover money will go toward meeting our yearly budget. The Longfellow PTA membership drive is not a fundraiser, rather it is our drive for members. The more members we have, the louder our voice as we fight for our children.

Who are the officers of Longfellow PTA?

Check the PTA Board Members page.

How do I contact a PTA officer or Committee Chair?

Check the PTA Board Members or the Event Chairs page for the person that you are wishing to contact. Submit an email via the Contact Us form and your email will be forwarded to the appropriate person.

How is the PTA organized?

The PTA is headed by an executive committee (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Longfellow’s principal, among others. Go to the PTA Board Members page for a complete list). The PTA also is comprised of various committees that organize and carry out the PTA’s events and programs. Each committee has an elected chairperson, and any number of members; in addition, the committee may recruit volunteers for particular programs and events from general PTA membership. Any PTA member who wishes to become directly involved in PTA work can feel free to contact the committee chairperson for any committee.
